Committee advances affordable housing project to formal site plan review.

Site Plan Review Committee · Meeting of April 1, 2026

ORLEANS — Site Plan Review Committee advances 78-unit mixed-income redevelopment to formal process. The Preservation of Affordable Housing proposal at the former Governor Prence Motor Inn on Route 6A includes 61 affordable rental units, 10 ownership townhouses, and 7 affordable ownership detached dwellings across multiple buildings. Informal review identified required submissions: a swing path analysis survey from Conservation, coordination with Fire on building stairs and hydrant placement, and compliance with a standing sewer connection order.

The committee voted unanimously to move the application to full Formal Site Plan Review.
