Orleans Wastewater Committee approves May minutes and suspends summer operations. At its June 11 meeting, the committee voted unanimously to approve prior minutes and agreed to cancel regular meetings on July 23 and August 27 unless urgent business emerges. Chair Kevin Galligan received updates on Phase 2 sewer connections, where only 19 of 374 properties (5 percent) have been connected, though 70-plus additional applications have been processed.
Representatives from Wright-Pierce presented nitrogen removal data on the treatment facility, and the committee discussed potential operational adjustments with the facility operator to meet water quality objectives.
