Shellfish panel reviews harbor projects and water quality.

ORLEANS — Shellfish panel hears harbor maintenance updates and water quality concerns. Chair Craig Poosikian's committee heard from Natural Resources Manager Nate Sears that the Rock Harbor project is tracking for pre-season completion and the Goose Hummock Bulkhead is expected to finish by April 15 despite winter delays. The Orleans Ponds Coalition announced a family fun water celebration for June 20 at Depot Square.

Committee members Sears, Poosikian, Bill Amaru, and Scott Zenke are pursuing initiatives on the Mill Pond, Paw Wah Pond dredging, and a herring run study that will be monitored through spring.
