ORLEANS — The Select Board held a workshop reviewing comprehensive human resources policies and committee charges. HR Director Denise Beausang presented 11 new policies developed with labor counsel, covering accommodations, anti-discrimination, jury duty, and employee conduct. Chair Mefford Runyon, Vice Chair Michael Herman, and Member Mary Wright attended; Clerk Mark Mathison and Member Kevin Galligan were absent.
The Board also reviewed the Environmental Omnibus Policy to clarify that fertilizer restrictions apply only to Town-owned property and the Veterans Committee charge to add two associate member positions while maintaining five regular members. Policies are scheduled for future formal consideration.
