Select Board approves licenses and station study presentation

Select Board · Meeting of April 15, 2026

Orleans Select Board approves Fromm reappointment and event license unanimously. The board heard presentations on a proposed 60 million dollar fire rescue station at Eldridge Parkway—replacing the current 1987 facility—and a Skaket Beach resiliency study identifying erosion, flooding, and infrastructure vulnerabilities. Finance Director Darrin Tangeman estimated the fire station project would levy an annual tax increase of 581.49 dollars on a median-value home over 30 years at a 4.5 percent interest rate.

The five-member board also conducted a pre-Town Meeting run-through with municipal officials to review warrant articles and presentation coordination.
