Recreation panel approves prior minutes, hears spring program updates.
Recreation Advisory Committee · Meeting of February 19, 2026
ORLEANS — The Orleans Recreation Advisory Committee approved December meeting minutes and heard updates on spring and summer programs. Recreation Director Tom DeSiervo reported strong spring registration uptake with online enrollment reducing phone calls, new success in bowling and paint-and-sip programming, and an Easter Egg Hunt coordinated with the Chamber of Commerce for March 28. Summer registration opens March 23 for residents and April 20 for non-residents, with programming running June 29 to August 7 plus one week of extension offerings.
The Eldredge Park renovation project, which received only one proposal from Weston and Sampson, will enter the design phase in May or June, with bidding planned for early summer and potential groundbreaking in August.
