ORLEANS — Planning Board reviews draft Comprehensive Plan through 2050 ahead of Select Board briefing. Chair John Ostman led the hybrid special meeting as board members Debbie Oakes, Lynne Eickholt, Francesca Galazzi, Peter Pohlemus, and Mary Wright examined the Executive Summary. Eickholt and Galazzi noted insufficient detail on growth goals; Wright highlighted the absence of language safeguarding the town's historic character, and Eickholt flagged a lack of urgency in the plan's goal language.
The board unanimously voted to adjourn after noting the draft will be presented to the Select Board on February 24, 2026, with a public hearing scheduled for March 10.
