ORLEANS — The Orleans Planning Board heard the draft comprehensive plan and voted unanimously to approve prior meeting minutes. Planning Director George Meservey presented the plan to Planning Board and Select Board members Michael Herman and Andrea Shaw Reed, outlining a vision for "a balanced, diverse, and thriving community" guided by nine major themes from environmental preservation to fiscal responsibility. The planning process engaged approximately 150 people in visioning workshops and received 569 survey responses across three rounds of board and committee input.
Board members agreed to incorporate feedback as the plan moves toward town meeting and Cape Cod Commission approval.
