Orleans committee approves prior minutes

Orleans Economic Development Committee approves prior minutes, advances state-funded development initiatives. The committee voted unanimously to approve minutes from its December 9, 2025 meeting. Economic Development Coordinator Amanda Converse briefed the committee on two state technical assistance grants totaling $55,000: a $30,000 award for a Wayfinding and Signage Strategy with consultant Stantec, and a $25,000 award for a District Improvement Financing feasibility study.

DIF dedicates new tax revenue from incremental property increases within a district to economic development without creating a new tax. The committee also discussed participation in an upcoming Cultural Comprehensive Plan directed by the Select Board and Town Manager's Office.
