ORLEANS — Open Space Committee approves minutes and shapes awareness campaign. Chair Lynn Dorman O'Connell and members discussed outreach targeting new residents, schools, and downtown affordable housing areas to build support for open space preservation and address tax-roll concerns. Vice Chair David Herrick proposed linking open space protection to water quality; Stephen O'Grady of the Orleans Conservation Trust suggested the Massachusetts Land Trust Coalition as a resource for campaign language.

O'Connell announced she will not seek reappointment in July.
