Human Services Advisory Committee weighs funding for new social service programs.

ORLEANS — Human Services Advisory Committee sets preliminary funding recommendations for social service agencies. The Orleans committee heard from Cape Cod Toy Library, Inc., regarding its permanent relocation and program expansion, and reviewed an application from the 35-year-old Homeless Prevention Council. Preliminary recommendations include maintaining current funding for existing agencies in FY27 while funding the Toy Library and Pleasant Bay Community Boating at half their requested amounts.

Committee members voted unanimously to approve the February 12, 2026 minutes and to adjourn the meeting at 12:42 p.m.
