ORLEANS — Fire-Rescue Building Committee reviews architectural designs and estimated costs for new facility. The committee reviewed three conceptual designs — Net Zero (flat roof), Two Gables, and Clerestory — for a fire-rescue building on 0.48 acres at 48 Eldredge Parkway, with geotechnical reports supporting conventional construction. Committee chair David Lyttle favored presenting a single recommendation to Town Meeting, while Rich Waldo and Mark Reil pushed for multiple options to gather public feedback.
The committee requested a fourth Transitional design option for a Select Board update, with the project moving toward Annual Town Meeting approval and May Select Board authorization of project scope and budget range.
