Finance Committee receives $1.9 million in CPC recommendations

ORLEANS — $1.9 million in CPC recommendations head to Orleans May warrant for vote. Select Board member Michael Herman presented the Community Preservation Committee's funding slate at a joint Finance Committee and Select Board meeting, including $1 million for Eldredge Park renovation, $300,000 to the Affordable Housing Trust, and $175,000 to Orleans Conservation Trust for Cedar Pond property acquisition. Finance Department and Treasury sought budget increases of 37 and 25 percent respectively, requesting 1.5 additional full-time equivalent positions with priorities including OpenGov software implementation and five-year financial projections.
Fire Department budget questions deferred; the Finance Committee unanimously approved prior meeting minutes, with joint capital and operating budget hearings scheduled March 4 and 12.
