Orleans Finance Committee approves wastewater Phase 4 after reconsideration. After reconsidering its earlier opposition, the Finance Committee approved Phase 4 wastewater system implementation on a 6-2-1 vote, with estimated annual costs of $202 per median-value home. Committee Members Edmund Mahoney and Tony Pearl opposed; another member abstained.
The committee also unanimously approved $78,500 for transfer station recycling containers, increased beach parking fees to $35 for non-residents and seasonal stickers to $35, and approved a $600,000 land acquisition for fire rescue station expansion.
