Council on Aging backs Assistant Director position for override vote

Orleans Council on Aging advances Assistant Director position to FY27 budget on a Prop 2½ override. Council Chair Denise Dunlap and board member Susan Milton persuaded the Select Board to fund the new position, classified as an operational expense requiring voter approval at the Annual Town Meeting. Assistant Town Manager Mark Reil reported Director Judi Wilson is working with Human Resources to define essential duties and departmental workflow impacts.
The position is expected to be the only operational override on the warrant; other override articles would address project-related expenses.
