Conservation Commission · Meeting of July 21, 2026

ORLEANS — The Orleans Conservation Commission continued a public hearing on a Baker Pond alum-treatment proposal and approved three residential applications at its July 21 meeting. Planning Director George Meservey presented BSC Group's Notice of Intent to treat the pond with alum to reduce algae growth, with support from the Brewster Conservation Commission; the Orleans commission voted to continue the hearing to August 4. The commission unanimously approved a septic-system replacement at 222 Main Street and authorized tree removal at 10 Towhee Lane but denied an Administrative Review for a screen-porch and dormer project at 26 Tides End Lane, directing the applicant to submit a Request for Determination instead.

The commission unanimously approved a porch enclosure at 17 Franz Road.
