Committee approves CVS sign replacement and lighting upgrade

Architectural Review Committee · Meeting of April 9, 2026

Orleans Architectural Review Committee approves CVS sign upgrade with condition. The committee voted unanimously to approve CVS Pharmacy's application to replace signs and light bulbs at 108 Route 6A, with the requirement that a logo be removed from the directional sign at the loading dock to comply with town signage bylaws. The replacement signs will remain the same size as previous ones, and new light bulbs will match existing fixtures with no increase in intensity.

The committee also received guidance on compliance procedures under the town's Lighting Bylaw and discussed streamlining review processes for minor applications.
