Board of Assessors approves FY2026 real estate tax commitment

Orleans Assessors approve $43.9M real estate tax commitment. The Board of Assessors unanimously approved the FY2026 real estate tax commitment of $43,966,571.66 at its January 13 meeting, along with routine personal property and Community Preservation assessments totaling over $1.3 million. The Board also approved eight motor vehicle excise abatements totaling $782.44 and denied three vehicle abatement appeals for vehicles sold in December 2025.

In executive session, the Board approved one real estate tax deferral and one elderly resident tax exemption.
