Architectural Review Committee · Meeting of August 27, 2026
Orleans Architectural Review Committee postponed a nail salon signage application over exterior lighting concerns. The panel deferred ARC-26-18 from Cape Cod Nail Co. on August 27 when applicant Sarah Mason did not attend the meeting. Members found the proposed signage acceptable but determined exterior lighting did not meet town requirements for shielding, downward direction, and dark-sky compliance, indicating downward-facing gooseneck lights for signs would be acceptable while revised options were needed for fixtures beside the entrance.
Andrew Miao's motion to postpone, seconded by Kira Vath, passed 3-1 with Richard Morongell opposed.
