Architectural Committee approves Yacht Club renovations, Motel solar panels

Orleans Architectural Review Committee approves applications for Yacht Club and Motel projects. The committee voted 4-0-1 to approve the Orleans Yacht Club's plans at 39 Cove Road for replacement of windows, cedar shingles, and doors, contingent on Lighting Bylaw compliance; Chair Stephen Salley recommended consulting a lighting professional for both safety and aesthetic compliance, and Ms. Carol Marsh abstained.
The committee voted 4-0-0 to approve solar panel installation at Skaket Beach Motel, 203 Route 6A, with the flat-mounted panels on the southern roof at approximately 30 degrees, limited to the motel units.
