ORLEANS — The Orleans Affordable Housing Trust Fund Board held a strategic workshop on May 7, 2026, reviewing a 10-year plan targeting 350 new year-round housing units, 150 designated as affordable, adopted by the Select Board in 2024. Chair Tom Jurkowski led the meeting. Ms.
Jenkins presented current operations, noting a Trust balance of $1,807,390 including encumbrances and anticipated $300,000 from the Community Preservation Committee for FY2027. The board identified priorities including incentivizing middle housing, incorporating affordable units into new developments, reducing developer costs, acquiring substandard properties, and exploring regional partnerships with the Cape Cod Commission. The meeting adjourned unanimously.
